This is the face of Africa, who styled the Safari Raw shoot a while back, and her boyfriend Anthony. One of the 4 themes that we did was a “James Bond”-inspired look. We were initially going to use a blown out, white backdrop (kind of like what you see during the opening credits for JB). But while Africa was getting dressed I played with gridded lights on Damion and we went, “Hey! I like this look!”
Fun-filled photo shoot the other weekend for twins Danielle and Chantelle, who go by Twinz. Creativity seems to run in their family (designers, artists, etc). Awesome makeup/hair team as well—I hope to work with them again soon.
Right after the shoot, James and I went to Staten Island to pick up some used studio lighting. Fwee! Old-school equipment… They’re about as old as I am! But I tested them out last weekend on another client and they are pretty handy.
Sent off the last of Cyndi’s photos last night. She had originally requested a composite of all the images with a “Happy Holidays” message, and the final image is below. Got this message this morning… what a nice way to start the day!
