CN Studios Blog

The CN Studios site is pretty much done, but I figured I can post up a photo while the blog is getting its kinks worked out. Results of a quick 10 minute session with a coworker during my lunch break yesterday. This is probably going to be the new format of the images (larger images, smaller logo) now that I’ve made the site’s content column a bit bigger.

I’ve a lot more stuff to get around to… expect many more blog posts… when I get my butt on that editing!

Sorry for the lack of updates; the blog and portfolio sites are being revamped and integrated. Will hopefully be done mid-August!

Testing lights this afternoon with my little sister led to—“Oh, grab a dress, let’s do a scary Ringu/Ju-on shot!” (The Ring/The Grudge, for those of you who haven’t seen their scarier Japanese counterparts.)

Not usually my style, but it was a few quick shots for fun. I really like how it turned out.

Late shoot with Catherine about a week ago. Everything had a dark feel to it, and I especially loved this shot below. Ironically, this was originally an “accidental” shot where I think one of the three lights may not have fired or didn’t hit her properly. (So yes, a lot of dodging and curves in post to bring some of her out of the shadows.)

Shoot with Mallorie this past Sunday. We did three looks, and below are two of them… obviously very contrasting styles. Thanks again to my boyfriend who has been helping out with my shoots (aka setting up my lights) lately. I’ve been starting to use the boom arm more lately (took me a while after I bought it to even touch it) and am becoming a fan of placing the octobox directly above the model (left image).

P.S. I’m in love with the girly mohawk.
