I had a test shoot a few weeks ago with Alie, currently represented by Fenton Moon Media. She was great with her posing and giving input on ideas throughout the shoot. This was officially, my first shoot completely dedicated to beauty looks, and it was awesome. Hope to work with Fenton Moon again, as they have other girls I’d love to test with. :)

As usual, James Cheng worked on the setup and Jada David, who I’ve worked with several times in the past and is one of the best that I know, did the makeup and hair styling for this shoot. (I totally helped out with the hair ribbon piece lol)

Melanie Fontana is another singer that I photographed recently. She had actually attended Melissa Otero’s last studio session and booked me that same day (she also filmed that shoot with her iPhone and there’s a video or two floating around on Facebook, hehe). I’m still working on the rest of her photos, but this was my absolutely favorite from the shoot. This was originally an outtake, but I loves it.

Wow, I haven’t posted any recent headshots since last month. Oy! To make up for that, here is one! I had another photo shoot with singer Melissa Otero for a second time this past weekend. (Repeat business is a total ego boost, btw.) In the previous post, we had a bit of a darker feel to the images, whereas this time, we added in a brand spankin’ new haircut and a little bit of schmexiness. ;)

On another note (and a blatant plug, I suppose), some of the images that I had taken for Melissa during our previous session last year are now part of her “My Spirit” CD album art. w00t!

Ushshi, who I’ve photographed twice, lost her photos and asked me to re-upload them for her. In the process, I came across this photo which I like very much but completely forgot about. I thought I’d share. :) It’s also to let you know I’m still alive, heh. Just incredibly backed up on photo processing at the moment. Eep! I have about three more weddings to post, as well as other studio sessions. I’ll be getting those up throughout the month!

Photo shoot last weekend for Alone Together NYC (ATNYC), a group dedicated to integrating “Japanese pop culture into the American mainstream entertainment industry” combining Japanese aesthetics and NYC edge. It was a fun shoot, that took place in Hotel 41’s Bar 41 by Times Square, assisted by James Cheng and Evan Lee. Many looks were shot, but the two below are a few of my favorites from the day. Remember to check out ATNYC at the next NY Anime Festival at Javits. :)
