4:15am: Wake up and get ready to go explore the Freedom Tunnel
7:00am: Sneak into the tunnel… technically tresspassing… =X

9:15am: Yell at everyone to get off the tracks and set up tripod for train #3

9:30am: Long exposures and light painting with Mr. Keller

10:00am: This might be why it’s taking 3 hours to get through half of a 2.5 mile tunnel

12:00pm: Realize after the long trek that the exit is fenced off, and the only way out is climbing up a steep mound of dirt and through a 2’x4’ hole that leads to the bottom of a freeway at the top of a random hill.

Entered the tunnel at approximately 7am. 5 hours, 4 dodged Amtrak trains and 2.5 miles later, each member of the group had a lovely pair of once-blue jeans, nasty boots and muddy looking hands. And a set of kick ass photos. Oh, and a desperate need for caffeine and food. But mostly caffeine.

Took a stop by Queens Bridge Park to kill time while waiting on a model today. We ended up shooting in Chinatown, so it was nice that I had gotten to the park early to get these shots.
